I second Comfortis tablets SalvatoreGirl , they are really effective!
Frontline combo can still work (though there is a lot of talk about resistance) but like any of the Spot ons can be difficult to apply properly. Once the tablet has been given it works quicker than any of the topical treatments and can't be licked/washed off. Oral treatments are definitely the way forward!

I'd be tempted to treat it with Advantage, it sounds like its owners aren't treating it or it could even be a stray? Flea infestations are horrible for the cat.

AnyFucker · 06/03/2015 16:56

Yes, they were horrible in my carpet too.

I think your best bet is Advantage then. Can be bought online without a prescription. Then spray the house with Indorex. Then have a stern word with the bastard owners who are neglecting their cat.

RubbishMantra · 07/03/2015 12:57

Oh, poor thing probably has worms as well if they're not bothering with fleas. Obviously their own home will be infested, so they won't give a shit about their cat having worms.

You can buy Drontal online as well as the Advantage.

Any chance of you stealing adopting him?

working on it Smile

Definitely use Advantage. You can buy it in chemists. If the cat is riddled you really don't need to worry about 'doubling up' as the 'owners' obviously aren't doing it.
