Cat hasn't come home. Can someone hold my hand...

My cat hasn't come home from her afternoon outing. Dinner is 6pm and she hasn't come home yet. This has never happened before but she has only been with us for a few months from CPL.

I've taken a walk around the block, calling her name and shaking the Dreamies pot Blush

I can't see why she would miss her dinner. What should I do?

She came back this morning, after being stuck in a neighbour's garage!!!

She's had a big breakfast and a big drink and is now having a snooze. So happy to have her back.

Thank you all so much for your handholding.

Brilliant news OP! I'm sure she'll be delighted to be back with you!

Do you know if it was the posters/door-knocking that got them to check their garage or if it was by chance?

WalkingThePlank · 25/02/2015 10:59

It was the leaflet through the door that made them look. I'm so grateful they could be bothered to take a look.

That's wonderful to hear, am so very pleased for all of you and relieved.
Glad she's come to no harm, shows how resilient they are.

Are you going to keep her in for a day or two now?

cozietoesie · 25/02/2015 12:57

Yay!

That's great, and excellent that they did bother to check - I've always feared that as much as you can leaflet and knock and ask nicely, you are reliant on people actually looking in their sheds/garages/over-grown corners. My friends lost their proper homebody cat last year without trace, and we still worry that she may have just died very close-by but neighbours haven't really looked properly...

Hope your girl enjoys all the welcome-back cuddles and treats she'll no doubt be getting! Smile

What fantastic news OP! What a relief! And well done for doing all those flyers!Grin

God what a relief. I remember my mums cat getting locked in a neighbours shed and not being found till we went and asked.

So glad you had a happy ending. Smile

Wonderful news.
I would take them a box of chocolates as a thank you.

I am so glad your cat's ok. It's a nightmare when they disappear.

I accidentally found Mooncat locked in the store under our neighbours' house when I popped round to see if she'd gone visiting them (cheeky thing likes to sneak in and sleep on their bed Shock!)

Neighbour couldn't hear the miaows. Luckily I could. She'd only been 'missing' for an hour and hadn't turned up for supper.
