So sad I was given a choice and I choose putting our bundle of fluff to sleep.

Going to tell vet after it's ok with the rest of the family. I am so sad.

We went straight to the vets after school. They kindly accommodated us. She has gone, is out of pain and distress.

Thank you for your kind words.

Flowers to all who have lost much loved companions.

Yes, she's not suffering any more, and she had such a lot of love and a lovely life with you all.

Thanks

Thinking of you and your family Joan, they give us so much love, that's why it hurts so deeply Flowers

So sorry Joan Flowers

You gave her a chance to get better, and so much love. And you have definitely done the right thing for her now.

RIP little cat Sad

Incredibly sad when we lose our much loved pets, but often the greatest gift we can give them is a release from suffering and a poor quality of life.

It is testament to how much they are loved that it hurts so much. Flowers

So sorry Joan, be kind to yourself, you did the right thing Thanks

nipersvest · 12/02/2015 14:21

i feel for you, we lost our 17 year old cat before christmas after battling for nearly 2 years with illnesses and keeping him going, probably longer than we should have as we were scared of making the pts decision. we still miss him dearly but our new kitten has helped heal our family and although he is not and will never be willow, we feel happy having given a rescue cat a happy home.

Damnautocorrect · 12/02/2015 14:52

How are you and the family doing Joan?

JoanHickson · 12/02/2015 18:10

We are sad some of the time and smiling with happy memories at other times.

We heard odd noises last night and we are not people who go in for woo. I said a prayer and was laughed at for opening the door to let her spirit out.

Im really pleased your able to have a few smiles, i hope they are outweighing the sad times. I have no doubt they stay with you in some way, I'm sure mine was wandering down the hallway earlier!
The size of the hole they leave in your heart is quite astonishing.

Sparklingbrook · 13/02/2015 08:23

Joan I have only just seen this. I am so sorry. Flowers

JoanHickson · 13/02/2015 08:30

I think she is fully gone now. No more odd noises. We will Bury her at the weekend with our other pets. The dc don't want her buried here. They want them all together. There is a bit of a pet cemetery now going on in someone else's garden and it's quite a journey.
