Do kittens grow out of aggression?

Now Ye Older Slasher is getting bigger, his 'playful' claws are hurting more.

Earlier, he looked up at me with gooey eyes, then stuck his talons in my chin. Dragging them down for extra fun.

Please tell me it gets better...

Our bengal calmed down at 4yo.

chockbic · 20/01/2015 18:29

4 years? Shock

I knew they could be lively but never had such a violent kitten or cat.

It's all play though, they're just better equipped.

chockbic · 20/01/2015 18:35

You got that right, lightning quick.

He went for DH the other night. Twice.

I'm his main prey though.

You'll be ok, I've survived & so will you.

Tea tree oil is excellent at removing the sting from scratches.

chockbic · 20/01/2015 18:41

Hope so, some days are more pain than pleasure.

Thanks for the tea tree tip, have been using Savlon.

Yes I had a brief dalliance with tcp but its not as good as tea tree. Home bargains do it.

Do you get the offended/hurt look when you yelp and remove your hand from his mouth?.

I think anyone who wants a bengal needs a good talking to. Possibly medicating.

chockbic · 20/01/2015 18:54

The only thing which stops him is a loud hiss. Scruffing really offends. How dare you Wink

He will just attack without playing or prior warning.

Guess it's them wild genes.

Crikey, I considered a Bengal when researching a little bro for MCat. I then came across something on youtube called "Things you need to know about Bengals before you get one."

I decided my nerves wouldn't withstand a Bengal.

He'll get less slashy Chock.

chockbic · 21/01/2015 11:33

Thanks fluffy and rubbish Flowers

We're on slightly better terms today. Getting used to various wounds on me!

The little shit character.

I've had an F3 and now have an F5 both very sweet beings. The F3 became more cuddly the older she became. The F5 is always glued to us. The latter has not shown agression despite being of low foundation, and the first only at times when playing. We got them when they were 2 years old, so maybe we dodged the rough times...

Things that may help: We play(ed) with them when they seemed restless to spend their extra energy and we immediatly stopped playing when the F3 started behaving wilder.

RubbishMantra · 23/01/2015 13:43

Have you got him a Flying Frenzy Chock? It really helps to work off some of the teenage angst.

MKitten's not slashy, more into knocking things over and nudging things off shelves. I'd have gone mad without the FF to distract him.

chockbic · 23/01/2015 14:58

No he hates feathers and disses the real birdies too.

In fairness, he might not be getting enough play time. He does go out and has toys but I'm unwell at the mo so not interacting much.

RubbishMantra · 23/01/2015 15:30

There are loads of attachments for the old Flying Frenzy, not just feathery ones. The "wiggly worm" is the most popular with the MantraCats.

Hope you're feeling better soon Cake I've got shingles myself. Sad

chockbic · 23/01/2015 15:42

OK will have a look for those.

Hope you've got plenty of calamine Wine

The old Frenzy is bloody awesome Chock. Just have to flick it about a bit. Tires them out, so not too much hassling of me. Mkitten has a new obsession with Supercasino. He likes watching the ball spin around the TV in circles. Discovered this when I woke up from a sickly, weak feverish sleep, to see him pawing at the TV.

chockbic · 24/01/2015 12:11

Maybe he can put his paw on a number next time and win some cash?

Claws enjoys jumping in the bath and unscrewing a fitting. Playing with a plastic piece inside.

RubbishMantra · 24/01/2015 18:49

Grin ^^

Little Monsieur likes jumping in the bath to hurl about the shower gel and lick the droplets of water and drag the face cloth off to his secret lair.

chockbic · 24/01/2015 18:56

You have to keep yourself looking spruced, don't you?

Jack was playing with a razor. Think he fancied a shave.

OP posts:
RubbishMantra · 24/01/2015 19:03

Christ, don't like the thought of a razor wielding ScissorClaws! Shock

chockbic · 24/01/2015 19:04

I hadn't thought of him adding to his repertoire.

Shock
