Help name my kitten! (With pic)

We are getting a lovely Maine Coon boy kitten at the end of the month!

We met him today and he was lovely. Out of the three kittens he came right up to us and was rubbing his little face on our legs while his sisters hid.

Totally fallen in love with him and his parents who we also met.
Any help with names appreciated.
(He'd just eaten lunch in this pic so looks a bit scruffy!)

I am surprised at the 'joke' cat name for such a beautiful boy. Grown Maine Coons are incredibly majestic you know??

Maine Coons are rather ginormous aren't they? Not your average kitty :)

I think I'd go for a stand out sort of name. We've always had rescue cats that came with names attached, but all our fantasy cats have 'names you couldn't give to a child' ds and I were thinking that dictators/great military leaders or inspiring people might make good names, like Bonaparte, Horatio, Genghis, Franklin, Gandhi, Socrates, Bolivar etc

dd thinks that a big cat should be Muta/Renaldo Moon from The Cat Returns Grin

We've always called our Siamese boys by the same name. My view is that you need to call a superb cat by a name that would go with a Victorian Head Gardener - think 'Fred'. So we've had 'First Fred, Second Fred, Fred the Post............. a long number.

Seniorboy has had his name (it ain't Fred) for so long now though that I'm not sure it could move on.

Best of luck in choosing.
