I'm so sorry your boy has passed, Phaedra, but as Venus said, you'll now be able to raise a glass to him on every Xmas day knowing that he's in the Happy Hunting Grounds.

I'm glad that Shuri finally got out OK as his Christmas present, basildonbond. That's rather what I hoped and trusted would happen - that he would discover that outside wasn't as much fun as he'd built it up to be in his mind and that he'd retire gracefully to a warm spot in the house. I think that it should be good sailing from now on.

Seniorboy had some fowl with pan juices yesterday evening and was singularly unimpressed. ('Where's my pouch food Mum?') As the Birthday Boy, he was taken downstairs to greet the extended family and actually stayed there for a good 20 minutes before he clearly said to himself 'Stuff this for a lark' and went back up to his electric blanket.

A good lad. He was never so sociable in his younger years - when he lived with my Mum, my memory of him is of a pale backside heading down the corridor.

Best Xmas wishes to all cats and their staff here. You've all been so much help for our first few months with Archcat in the family.
Congrats to Seniorboy, 20 is a fantastic age, he's absolutely allowed to decide what he eats and how long he spends being congratulated on his birthday.
So sorry for your loss, Phaedra. He sounds like he had a good life and a peaceful end surrounded by love.

Happy birthday and congratulations to Seniorboy (and to Cozie for getting him there!) and happy christmas to all other litter tray-ites.

Just come home to our two who've had a mysterious (to them) stranger looking after them for a few days. The lamb is purring madly on my lap with a 'you don't know the horrors I've seen' expression, and the madcat is contentedly gazing at all of us from her chair across the room. There is a note from the minder that apologises for the set of sheets in the wash and mentions 'an incident whilst playing with the dark one'. The mind boggles.

Happy birthday seniorboy! What a good age!

My old boy has moved back in with my mother (he was not enjoying being an indoor cat!) And the PersianCat was spayed on Tuesday so its been a quiet Catmas here.

Think she's realised old boy has gone as she's wandering around the house crying
