I KNEW it was going to be a challenge... but in 24 hours Obie and Ophie (now 6.5 months old and Obie is going to be a BIG Maine Coon, have...

Knocked every single bauble off
Pushed the tree over
Chewed through the lights, killing them!

Just as well I love them!

All baubles have been moved from the bottom third of the tree to the top two thirds. Lights don't work now seeing as she decided to chew straight though them. The majority if the lovely felt snowflakes are in her cat box/scratching post. She likes her big new green toy Grin

DOuglas has batted at the lowest baubles once or twice but thankfully he hasn't tried climbing it - he's a two year old Maine Coon cross (with more coon than cross!). He mostly left it alone last year too. The rest of the cats have pretty much ignored it. We briefly contemplated a real tree but thought with seven of them it might be too much temptation for them to pee climb up it.

These stories have made me cry with laughter! Xmas Grin

Loopycat bats the lower baubles, pulls at a bit of tinsel & chews the sticky label on the lights cable - but that's it so far Xmas Smile

We haven't even put one up with slasher around.

Tonight it was Ophie's turn.. she has discovered she can nibble open the presents, and has had another chomp at the lights!
But she is so booooful I forgive her...

Aww, I too would forgive her anything. That little face! Those massive ears! Smile

cozietoesie · 21/12/2014 20:30

Those wonderful ears! I'd forgive her.

Crashed it down 3 times so far, but it's artificial and pre-decorated (yuck) so only the angel a-top gets to tumble and treated with feline frenzy.

cozietoesie · 21/12/2014 21:32

And the galling thing is that if you took the angel down and laid it on the floor as a plaything, you'd likely just get the fisheye.

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/12/2014 22:39

It's not a challenge if its lying on the floor though. It has to be a prize worth having.

catsofa · 22/12/2014 00:19

You have to be able to violently kill it, that's the fun part! It's boring if it's already dead. That only leaves eating it, sicking it up and eating it again.

chockbic · 22/12/2014 12:08

Ophie is gorgeous.

ghostyslovesheep · 22/12/2014 14:37

naught Spock - in his defence he is only 16 weeks old

ghostyslovesheep · 22/12/2014 14:37

Naughty obviously!

catsofa · 22/12/2014 19:53

OMG Spock is a brilliant name for a kitten Grin
