Scabbers is mostly an outdoor cat - he has an entire farm to roam and spends increasing amounts of nights outside, which worries me horribly. This time
he's been away for 5 nights Sad
He is the stereotypical teenager, treating the house like a hotel. He comes in, eats and buggers off upstairs to sleep.
Today though, he's come in, eaten, and promptly jumped on me for a cuddle - unheard of!! And instead of going upstairs, he's curled himself up onto the other sofa by the fire. He looks so beautiful and it's nice to have all my babies sleeping the the same room together!

Sorry, this is a lame story, but he just looks so beautiful! yes, yes, I'm a saddo but he's my pfb!

When we lived in a village ours would come in, eat & go upstairs to sleep in his bed. He barely acknowledged us.

You can't help feeling a bit used tbh.

On the other hand our boycat loves us so much that he has to come and rub noses with somebody every time he comes into the house, which is approximately every two hours through the night. He doesn't mind getting soaking wet so frequently we have a soggy cat flinging himself at us in the dead of the night. I'd quite like aloof at that point.
He also brings us many presents, the latest being a (thankfully) dead rat. Given that he is a very small cat with two of his canine teeth missing this is an impressive feat.

CatKisser · 27/10/2014 17:09

Yes, Fluffy, "used" is exactly how I feel! Grin
Chemenger that is fairly sweet though!! I might cry if I ever get treated to a dead rat. Once I got up in the night and stepped on something that turned out to be a mouse's head. It was AWFUL.

6.20 this morning, cold wet cat draping himself over my (up to then) sleeping face - I say again, aloof is good.

cozietoesie · 28/10/2014 09:05

Now you don't really mean that chemenger - despite the moan! Smile

RiverRocks · 28/10/2014 15:10

We hardly saw both of ours over the summer - never mind aloof, they pretty much moved out. Come the colder, wetter weather, and they've suddenly remembered where home is Grin

DH has always banned them out of the bedroom big meanie spoilsport that he is, but when he's been away with work I have seized the opportunity, and they have always been very good.

T-Cat will either lay on DH's side and ignore me completely, or the windowsill and ignore me completely (he epitomises aloof).

R-Cat likes to lay as close to me as possible on top of the covers, and then will just sleep, no nocturnal excursions (that I know of). I do not make the mistake of opening my eyes before I am ready to get up, though. I luffs it and DH hates it and always makes me change the bedding before he gets back Grin

Haha, I know what you mean. Mine go utterly hyper when they think I'm awake.

See I never know about this. ometimes I wake up and they're all exactly where they went to sleep... but then I'll go downstairs and there'll be horrid chewed up spiders on the floor, or similar.

MCat stares at me until I wake to find his face inches from mine. I'm sure he uses actual telepathy to wake me up.

MKitten just stands on my head. No manners.
