We have just got 10 week old brothers who enjoy playfighting. Should I leave them to it or seperate them?

Also is there anyway to stop them jumping on the table and eating food off our plates Shock ?

Playfighting - I'd leave them to it unless there's serious physical damage or one of them's always coming off second best and seems distressed by it.

On the table - a 'no' and lifting them down every time they do it has always worked for us, just takes a bit of time for them to learn. Ideally you'd want to have the table as a 'no go' area whether or not there's food on it, makes the message a bit stronger.

Thanks shaska

Appreciate any advice I can get. We've never had cats beforeSmile

Leave them to the play fighting as pp said they will know when they've had enough
And for jumping on the table a squirt from a water spray works quite well (it's harmless don't worry Smile)

Don't worry, you'll be fine! I've always found that despite seeming like they're not paying any attention, most do learn what's ok and what's not. That said, I don't leave nice plates of chicken dinner on the table and leave the room, even though our two 'know' that they're not supposed to get up there.

Let them fight, you'll soon know if it's getting out of hand! We have 2 cats (unrelated) who love a scuffle and the next minute are grooming each other. The noises they make will change if it's a serious fight.
