My potential rescue Ragdoll might be a mummy from a breeder now....

...the Ragdoll shelter has been silent since my last chase a week ago & I don't want to harass them if they are busy.

So I'm visiting a breeder tomorrow to view 2 ex breeding Ragdoll girls, they are 5 years & a beautiful seal point. They have had their kittens & are now being rehomed.

As I know bugger all about cat breeding are there any questions I should be asking that I wouldn't ask of a shelter?

Thanks cozie. My instinct is to take her :)

Yes she's chipped :)

Best of luck then - and looking forward to the pictures.

Thanks, I don't know what I would do without you all on this part of MN!!

Pics to follow xxx

Oh also does she need a collar in case she gets out?

If she's not used to a collar, I wish you well (!) in trying to get her to wear one. Grin All my boys have thought them inventions of the devil and set to to remove them in double quick time.

I would be relying on her chip, personally, but other posters may have had better luck with collars and be able to give you more positive comments.

cozietoesie · 15/10/2014 11:47

PS - remember to get the chip details from the breeder so that you can change them this afternoon. There may be a small fee to pay the chip company but it shouldn't be much.

Have these come out OK?

She's loud! And totally gorgeous!

Yes I have the chip forms thanks cozie :) :) :)

She looks like she's come home. Smile

cozietoesie · 15/10/2014 14:44

What a honey! Has she finished exploring yet?

Oh she is beautiful! She looks like a kitten!

PestoSurfissimos · 15/10/2014 14:49

She's beautiful!!

cozietoesie · 15/10/2014 14:49

Earlier today, I came across a youtube-type video entitled 'Loud Siamese' and after playing it, I thought to myself 'What was loud about that ??'

You get used to it. Grin

(In fact it becomes like toddlers - unless you know they're flat out somewhere, it's quiet you worry about on a 'What the heck are they up to?' basis.)

cozie Grin GrinGrin

She seems to be OK, didn't eat her pouch of wet food last night but I put it down to the fact she's gone through a massive change in home & people, & she's only eaten half a pouch this morning. The breeder said to keep dry food down all the time & feed 2 pouches per day but I might try half a pouch tonight (the breeder fed all 6 cats together & used 6 pouches so assumed it worked out at a pouch each). She's nibbling on the dry stuff & is drinking. I think she's done a wee in the litter tray but will check for a poo later :)

Not touching the cat tree, but is kneading like crazy on my lap & purring constantly :)

She is very beautiful!

cozietoesie · 16/10/2014 14:06

Sounds pretty positive, Magrats.

Is she answering (or at least looking round) to 'Cinnamon' yet?

Smile
MagratsHair · 16/10/2014 14:37

Sometimes she will come trotting along sometimes she walks in the other direction :)

She feels quite thin & her spine is very boney (master of description I am!) I may mention it to the vet.

Do you know when she had her last litter? If recently, that might have thinned her down.

wantacatplease · 16/10/2014 14:44

Oh she is a gorgeous thing! Yes, I'd mention it to the vet. I think it's lovely that she gets to spend the rest of her life being pampered and relaxed and have no more 'mummy' duties. You're lovely for having her. Smile
