Poonarmi!!!

Dd left a half eaten bowl of cereal out, cat helped himself to the milk and there has now been a poonarmi

He did it in his litter tray but also managed to hit is feet and go for a wander all round the downstairs of the house

First off, does he need to go to the vet or is TLC and plenty of fresh water ok?

Secondly -I've cleaned everywhere I can see he's been but it still smells, I have dark carpets -what do I do???

Do you know when the diarrhoea occurred? (It can leave a terrifically strong odour in the air.)

cozietoesie · 07/09/2014 10:16

PS - I'd just let him him eat and drink his way through it. You should find (with luck) that things stabilize shortly, him having got rid of at least most of the milk - albeit rather explosively.)

Sorry but I have to Smile at poonarmi. I agree with cozie, the smell can linger, so try to get some airflow through the house.

It was at about 8.30

He had been mithering to go out about 30seconds before but I was washing up -more fool me!

All the windows are open

I'm not sure if the smell is just up my nose

Could be, and especially if carpets are still wet.

Has DD received 'guidance' on not leaving food around? (Many of them love milk for example but dairy foods just don't agree with them. (I've been lucky in that Seniorboy doesn't have lactose intolerance - but it's just luck and no more.))

I hope there weren't any raisins in the cereal?

17leftfeet · 07/09/2014 17:44

No it was just a few Rice Krispies floating about, it was the milk that did it

How's he doing? (Is he a young and healthy cat?)

17leftfeet · 07/09/2014 18:41

He's fine, been frolicking in the garden pouncing on various insects

He's 15 months but likes human food a bit too much!

What is wrong with raisins?

cozietoesie · 07/09/2014 21:00

Not good for them, Pipbin. You might like to have a look at this under Foods. You'll see that while the entry for raisins relates to dogs, the text also includes reference to adverse effects on cats.
