Where is best for bulk buying cat meat and is Felix well regarded?

Due to the arrival of Olive, who eats like there's no tomorrow, and my stupidity regarding the farm cat, I am now feeding four cats. My cat food bill seems to have jumped dramatically. Ugh!
Anyone know where I can buy both biscuits and meat in bulk for a reasonable price? Also, mine seem to be mad about Felix at the moment. It does smell "nice" (for cat food!) but is it nutritionally sound?

Regarding Applaws, was only talking about the dry food. The wet food is extortionately priced for nutritionally incomplete food, and as for the tiny tin size.......

Agree about the litter box. Before I changed my girls diet, I even considered whether I could keep them because of the smell. Sad
I could open my front door and smell the contents of the tray.
And the frequency, they were never out of it. And as for the texture. Well sticky was not the word.

All that has changed for the better. And we live in harmony. Smile

I get mine from Fetch with my Ocado order. fetch.co.uk

Now the comments about the litter tray are particularly interesting. (Never thought Id say that!)
Mine are completely foul at the moment no matter how much i change/clean them. And there are SO many craps in them!! Bearing in mind it's just one 1 year old and one 11 week old....
Hmm!

OP
There is a thread in the litter tray called 'is my cat food healthy? ' that might be interesting to you. Apologies, as I'm rubbish at links.

Cutting out grain really helped my cats, the grain gave them tummy upsets that made your eyes water. But, it was introducing raw food that was the magical element. I still remember watching tv and realising that there was poo in the litter box-I couldn't smell anything Shock

The poos were small, dry and firm, pleasant to scoop. And even better they went once a day, or even every other day,so the litter lasted longer.
I was no longer a slave to the litter box.

I am not ready yet for hardcore raw,so use commercial raw. Bone, raw muscle meat and offal all minced up in a plastic tub. I defrost, and chuck in a bowl just like wet food. Easy peasy.
I also cut down dry food, and they only get a handful for snacks-still grain free.

I also give them raw chicken wings for their teeth. Their breath is so much more pleasant and less 'catty'. My cats have thrived by just changing their diet.

My cat only uses her tray once a day and they are generally low odor. She has James Wellbeloved dry food with half a packet a felix in the evening.

I used to get all sorts of healthy foods from zooplus & had settled on Bozita, which my cats seemed to love, but as a PP said when you stock up on something they go off it AngryGrin

They've always had Royal Canin biscuits though which are a great standby (Vet Care neutered female) & means I can worry less about what else they eat.

Anyway their absolute favourite is Felix Doubly Delicious - 4 pouches per day between my 3 & I can usually find them somewhere for c £3 per box (of 12) so that's 33p per cat per day. (I buy the biscuits in 10kg bags & haven't priced that on a daily basis). They are lovely healthy cats despite the Felix & have neat normal poo!

Zooplus is fab, I get the biscuits there & other stuff like litter. As well as the discount voucher (5% off) if you buy via Quidco there's 3-4% cashback & if you spend more than £75 another 3% or so off upfront.

For Felix, if you do need to return to it Wink check out \link{http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk\mysupermarket.co.uk} - when you click on a particular product at one store it gives you the current price at all the others, eg today Doubly Delicious is £4 at Tesco but £3 at Asda & Morrisons, 3 for £9 at Waitrose, & 2 for £7 at Sainsburys & Ocado.

Olive is gorgeous Smile
