Litter tray
Cat litter
Wet and dry food
Bowls
Collar with name tag/phone number
A bed (which she won't sleep in)
A cardboard box (just for fun)
Toys

Introduce her to your children straight away.
Remind them to be gentle with her.
Put the litter box and food bowls in different rooms such as kitchen and bathroom.
Get instance now.
Make sure the kitten is vaccinated, desexed and microchipped.
If it hasn't seen a vet before adoption then go soon to make sure it's healthy etc.
Keep her indoors for at least one week but cats are safer indoors.
You can train her to walk on a leash. Look on YouTube or Google for instructions. Then you can go outside with her.

Yes, mostly what the PP said.

However, regarding keeping her in for one week; it's unlikely that you will be able to get her neutered before she is 5/6 months. Don't let her roam about before then, supervised outside time is fine. But only allow(supervised) outside access after completion of her second lot of jabs. Once she has been neutered, you can introduce her to going out and about. First time you let her out unsupervised, do it before a feed. Acclimatise her to the sound of her treats being shaken. Useful for when you're panicking they've been outside too long you call them.

Going back to the one week thing - when I have had adult cats come to live with me, I have kept them in for about a month before the supervised outside time.

And definitely yes about introducing her to other pets/children straight away. I've tried the "keeping them isolated in another room" trajectory - IME, just seems to cause more stress.

I've also found it OK to keep food/litter box in same room, just keep a good distance away from each other.

The bed - can you put it in your bedroom? --Won't make a blind bit of difference, cats usually decide themselves where they are going to kip.

Never had a cat yet who slept in any bed I provided. (Apart from my own.)

My cat sleeps in a dog bed I got for him. He is obviously gifted & talented.

Try the ultra clumping litter, the grains are smaller so its softer on young paws.

I'd make the vet appointment ASAP to get it checked over and booked for jabs & make a provisional booking for neutering & microchipping.

Pet plan seems to be the best insurance, get it straight away because you can't usually claim for the first week/fortnight.

Ask the vet if they do a plan where you pay a monthly fee and you get flea control & worming because often you also get 10% off neutering too.
