Fluid on lungs and sneezing

My lovely girl is on her last legs (though only 4 or 5) with probably FIP - anyway, fluid on the lungs and a very enlarged liver seem to be the main physical things. She's had steroid injections (last weekend) and is home until her quality of life seems to be going :( which is at least giving us some time to adjust. The vet reckoned that at some point she will go downhill fast, and it would most probably show by her having difficulty breathing.

However today she has been sneezing, a lot. Is this just annoying, like sneezing in people, or is this an indication that things are about to go pearshaped?

don't suppose it's possible to tell, really, just worrying about her and wanted to write it down. Life seems to have been very unfair on her, she is a sweet girl and should have had much longer to enjoy the world.

You are right, it is unfair. Poor little thing deserves a chance doesn't she?, it's an awful disease.

Is she happy in herself or withdrawn?.

I'd be feeding her on smoked salmon and fresh roast chicken every day if it was me.

she was not happy before she went to the vet - was hardly moving. Now she's back to doing her best to trip me up every time I go up or down stairs - probably sleeping more than before but still coming for cuddles and purring like a steam engine.

I know what you mean about the feeding, she has found lots of rules disappeared (even 6 year old DD has stopped objecting to her wardrobe being treated as a catbed) and can do whatever she likes just now

Good, no point having rules if it makes her happy. Ring the vets tomorrow, there will be a nurse who'll take calls & not charge you advice.

I've rung them for ours & they gave very sensible advice.

Pets at home vets are open tomorrow if you are worried, I've taken ours in & recieved good treatment. There was a few animals looking sorry for themselves in the queue.

It's a weekday here tomorrow (UAE) so vet will be open (and I will be at work, sigh), I think it's a good idea to call them, thanks.

Sneezing can be a sign of something nasty but it might be that she's just sniffed something up there and it's irritating her. I guess if she's being more herself in every other way, I'd try not to worry too much.

Sorry to hear she's so unwell Thanks
