My cat has a boyfriend who calls for her every morning!

My cat is an only cat and has now got a friend. I think he is a young boy as he is big and lanky. He keeps coming and knocking at the French doors. He jumps up on his back legs and paws at the glass. When Rosie notices him she gallops up to the door and we let her out to play with him. I didn't know cats made friends with neighbouring cats but think this is so lovely!

My old childhood cat had a boyfriend, he,d call and they,d sit in the grass together.very chaste

It,s really strange how sometimes theyake friends and others, it,s hate at first sight.

More please these are lovely.

One of my male ferals fell in love with the boycat down the road belonging to an old lady. So much so that he moved in there. I occasionally went to visit. They were inseparable - really - where one was the other was. They also slept curled up together, groomed each other and, rather disturbingly (particularly it seems for the old lady) spent a lot of time dry humping each other :)

Aw, my sibling litter pair are generally companiable with each other still. Sometimes play and groom each other. They absolutely detest all other cats though!

The Cat neuterer - when somebody said they want more stories of cat love I don't think they meant THAT!!! Grin

Indeed Joey99:) There is however a rather more romantic, albeit sad, ending to this story. After many years together one died of old age. The other one then died suddenly of natural causes only three weeks later. I like to think it was at least partly because he couldn't live without the love of his life :(

Gileswithachainsaw · 26/01/2014 21:03

Aw :( sure they are together as we speak :)

Not just my Bobo then. He spends all day round at his mate George's house. He lets himself in through the cat flap and they play all day. Luckily, George's owner is a very kind lady who works at a vets and she thinks its fascinating. George hasn't been up here yet. Xxx

I have a large boy cat and a young cat from down the road comes round most days and follows him around just watching him adoringly like he's his hero. My boy appears to be ignoring him most of the time but I think he's secretly chuffed

My 2 brother cats love each other, it's very sweet. Interestingly they also love NDN cat who has always hated and fought other cats and the three of them hang out together. Other NDN cat is female and she hated them to start with but seems to tolerate them niw, I often see them in the garden all looking relaxed.

I wonder if cats are becoming more domesticated as they're not pack animals and this behaviour is odd from non related cats.
