A question for the vets amongst you.

The cats booster this year didn't include enteritis, just flu and felv.

He is known for being an "if I can see it I own it" cat and starts fights that draw blood on both sides so now I'm worried I've left him vulnerable to infection given to how so few owners stastictically vaccinate their pets?.

His previous 4 vaccinations all included it so perhaps it is like hep A vaccinations in humans and after so many boosters he is expected to already have lifetime immunity so he doesn't need that particular booster anymore?

It was a different vet today and she didn't seem very comfortable treating him because he growls a lot in the vets but doesn't actually lash out at humans (unlike the Persians who were evil to vets but looked all fluffy and sweet before they drew blood) and I felt a nuisance because I wanted his weight checked and his teeth checked plus a quick scan of chip to make sure it's still working.

We've gone to that vets for 28 years and I feel a bit down about today's visit.

Enteritis vaccination last two years we now know hence just giving flu and FeLV next year he'll get the full whammy again.

I love treating cats with cattitude. In my practice they all come to me.

In my own vet's practice, most of the more difficult things are under the watchful eye of the vets' chief vet nurse. That woman could have stormed the Normandy beaches on her own so there aren't many animals (or owners) who would dare to give her backchat. (I'm lucky because she seems to have developed a soft spot for Seniorboy so I hitch a ride on his shirttails.)

Oh thank heavens for that, I've been moping around all afternoon thinking I've exposed him to harm by not checking which vaccine was being given.

Thank you lone you have set my mind at rest.

I don't know why they get so nervous around him, all his body language is submissive.

Now I've just got to book his teeth cleaning under ga. They said I can stay for the pre-med to make sure he's not being hurt. Smile
