My Cat must of decided to go hunting to feed the kittens & has brought a birds leg in with all the flesh hanging out
I really can't move it as I will have to then clean my vomit up I really am that bad .

Its on the floor in the conservatory & my Dp is at work asshole

Put a bucket over it and let DP deal with it later? Or chuck a lunchbox over it, slide some card underneath and chuck the whole lot out of the door (then block cat flap).

I've managed to put a box over it
Just waiting for my neighbour to come home as Dp isn't back til first thing

We had a cat who had been a stray and used to bring yummy things from the bins in for my mum who she loved so much. Would leave them outside her bedroom door

No missing cats locally, none killed, can only assume that a bird had dropped it from a run over cat someone localish. Horrible

One of ours used to scrounge at local barbecues and bring burgers, sausages and chicken legs in.

No wonder he was 14lbs.

Out of interest, crazy, how are the two boys doing with their eating? Going out and bringing in fresh ( very fresh ) kill could be a sign that she's getting real fed up with them and instinct is telling her to start training them in their own hunting.

Which would mean, I'm afraid, that this isn't the last thing you'll find scurrying lying around.

Ah - so she's making them come to her after quite a long way rather than making it easy for them? She's starting the weaning process with a vengeance.

Where do you have the kitten food? If in the kitten's room, move it to the kitchen so that she can 'drop them off' at that place if needed. (It's that or you going into the kitchen and finding stunned mice around the place.)

Yeah she yells until they follow her n its quite far actually for kittens

She'll get them to work for it and then start moving away again even further, leaving a tasteful piece of something in their way. She could leave a stuporous small rodent or something but you might only expect that if she's already started training them.

Have you got any small toys (very little teddies or something) that they can train on and bat about? (If you're not keen on mice running around the place.)

It's actually fascinating to watch and if that's what she's doing you'll get an insight that not many people get if they don't live on farms or similar. A cat that had been brought up to think that food comes from a tin might not do it but it sounds as though she's either got good instincts or has been trained by her own Mom when she was a kit.

I made them a sock teddy each which they tend to carry about & attack

I live in quite a wild area (huge garden & next to a cemetery) so im dreading what else she is going to bring in as their are loads of frogs & squirrels about

that's bad. I found a HUGE bone on our back patio last week. No idea what it was from.

It was enormous. What has enormous bones? I think the seagulls nesting on the roof must have dropped it. Horse? Cow?

Will she get pg again if she goes out hunting? Or will it only be a concern once they are fully weaned?.

It is fascinating, all this mom cat behaviour. We've always neutered so you don't get to see it.

thecatneuterer is probably the one to advise you, Fluffy, but as far as I know she could already have gotten pregnant. I don't think they're protected until weaning is over.

Just how huge was the bone?

I tried to keep her in but she started to attack everybody so had no choice unfortunately
She never goes further than my garden though & no other cats are allowed in my garden

Maybe in the cat world he has a different name. Like rocky. Or Tyson.

I'd still have a word with the vet, crazy - confirm when they can take her in to be neutered. They can be downright sneaky about it when there's a tasty bit of tomcat strutting his stuff somewhere around.

I have spoke to the vet & was told to make an appointment for when she has stopped feeding the kittens
