So which one is it then? I give all mine Butcher's Classic, which is also vet recommended, and which they all seem to like.

Yes it is Butchers classic plus Burns dried food also one called wellness which I think you can only get on line.

I feed Mr Cory whiskas. Is that bad?

I think Whiskas is often compared to a daily diet of Big Macs. Vets have also said that it can aggravate mouth conditions. Butchers Classic is well worth trying. Plus most cats seems to like and it's cheaper than most brands.

As for dried food, avoid the cheap ones if you possibly can - Go Cat, Whiskas etc. Burns is a good one, also James Wellbeloved, Iams etc etc. Cheap dried food is often seen as the culprit of most urinary crystals.

We have been using a cheap dry cat food and having sick issues. We changed to iams last month and have noticed an improvement.

Should we do 1/2 tin a day of butchers classic with dry food aswell??

My boy cat had cystitis after we fed him dried food. I vaguely remember as a child hearing Gocat called Gonecat. Whiskas gave our two upset tummies. Ancient female cat on vet recommended (hideously £££) vet food for sensitive tummy. Poor old girl!

Ironing: you could try it. It may at least make your cat's diet more interesting and I suppose would also work out cheaper as you would need to feed less expensive Iams.

I give mine 3/4 approx of butchers classic and about 6 Iams he's only having them until they run out, then I will get him some Burns dry food give him just a few for his teeth.

Right, I'm going to try Butcher's classic - thanks a million. I think it's sold in Poundland, which is a plus.

I'll get the little fur some Iams as well.
