if you have a cat do you feed the birds?

Before I got my cat I used to love feeding the birds, throwing out bread, seed etc and buying those fat balls.

I have had my cat just over a year now (a lovely black and white thing called Bob ) but I havent fed the birds because im frightened if I tempt the birds in the garden Bob might kill one. Up to now his only victims that I know of are a small mouse and a spider

So suppose im asking if you own a cat do you feed the birds? By the way Bob never ventures far from the garden hes still only young.

I have 3 cats and would never leave food out for the birds. If I see birds I try to shoo them away.
My current cats are way too thick to ever catch a bird, but I'm not taking the risk after the feathery bloodbath I came downstairs to once.

We have three cats and have the Garmin bird feeder.

The cats like to watch the birds from the window but don't seem interested in catching them.

However, somewhere in my garden is a giant mouse nest, so we get a lot of alive (my cats have no teeth) mice in the house.

We do, but we have pathetic cats. One of them does, to be fair to him, kill the odd mouse or shrew. The other doesn't like leaving the comfort of the house and actually enjoys watching the comings and goings in the garden before retiring to bed for a well deserved snooze. I may think twice if they were proper killers.

you could put it on her bedroom window or patio doors so cats couldn't reach. I have 2 cats and get mice and birds as offerings a fair bit, so have the same problem.

I have a cat and I do feed the birds. My cay wears a little bell. Somehow he seems to now not catch the birds as they hear the bell. He does however often still catch mice type things and rabbits (why can they not hear the bell?). Anyway I have special feeders on a pole and some really high in a tree (on the edge of a branch that wont support the cats weight) that we reach down with a pole. The only problem last year was a bird fell out a nest (teenager type bird) and wasnt quite ready to fly. We had to keep dogs and cat in so the mum bird could feed it and teach it to fly. Took 2 days I think. The cat was ANGRY!
