One of crazy cat lady my Kittens keeps pooing on my bed bar putting a lock on the door I have not got a clue what to do as evil DH says she will have to go if she carries on , not that I would let this happen but its still causing problems .
Bit of background -
We took Her (Rosie) and her Brother (RaRa) in when they were just under 3 months old as they had been abandoned , they are nearly 6 months now , RaRa settled in really well with our other cat (Jelly) but Rosie is still very timid & won't come near any of us though she does get on with the other cats .
Any ideas what I can do as she should of settled in by now Confused

it sounds like you need to go back to basics getting her to poo in her litter tray again, have you got a utility room you could put the kittens in at night or mine went in a bed in the bathroom when they were little with the litter tray as it was an easy room to clean if they did have an accident, you need to keep all of them out of the bedroom as she has got into a habit of going on your bed to break the association

Vicky halls wrote a good book called cat counsellor about cat behaviour and problems.

With a multi cat house this sort of behaviour can be a response to blurred territories. She recommends LOTS of litter trays nd avilabiliy of safe hiding places. Worth a read.

Our cats recently had a bit of a kerfuffle with invading cat coming through flap, and one started spraying. We've got a microchip cat flap now, but they're cats and don't yet realise that they are safe. Felliway diffusers and room spray has helped, also I use urine eliminator to completely eradicate smells and try and stop the habit.

I have 3 litter trays & they get locked in the kitchen at night (with access to the conservatory ) , they have lots if little hiding places they like, She goes in one of the trays just seems the first chance she gets to gain access to my room she insists on using it as a looConfused
Will try the feliway & the urine eliminator
Thanks Thanks

All Vicky Halls behaviour advice is on Fab cats website. It is very detailed. You need to be providing not just three litter trays, but three of everything in a two cat household. I would give the website a really good read.

Oh no see you have three cats so that is four litter trays one for each cat and a spare.

Keeping the door shut will break the habit. If she starts somewhere else you will know that she's doing it because she's a bit stressed rather than it being a habit. We had a cat who liked to pee on our duvet when he was a kitten. I think it was soft and super absorbant and so much more pleasant than the litter tray. The only thing we could do was to keep the door shut. After a few months of not being let he was given access to the room and he didn't do it anymore.

We had another cat who sprayed on the curtains all the time. No amount of feliway or odour eliminator worked. He only stopped (after 5 years) when one of our other cats died and never did it again. They just obviously didn't get on despite it not seeming to be a big deal. Some cats just don't do well in multicat households or with other individual cats and may need to be rehomed.

She gets on well with the other 2 & 1 is her brother so would hate to have to find her a new home so will try everything else first thanks
