I'm not allergic to our other cat,but since the kittens been here I've gradually become more and more full of symptoms...itchy eyes, runny nose, stuffy ears, now itchy skin and HIVES!

I'm taking some anti histamine but it isn't really working 100% and anyhow,I can't permanently be on them...
what do I do?!

The kitten is DD's best friend already, she adores him-we all do...

Tell me there is a magic cure!

I think it's petal cleanse wipes for reducing cat allergens.

Over the counter anti-histamines dont reduce redness from rashes, only the itching. You need prescription ones for taking a rash away.

You might get used to the cat though, my DH is allergice to our cat and now has asthma from him but on a day to day basis is fine as long as he doesnt touch the cat and then rub his eyes. He washes his hands after touching the cat.

I have a vacuum witha hepa filter and cloth bags to filter the dust out which seems to keep the home cleaner. If you can afford it get a Miele cat and dog vacuum, it will really reduce the amount of fur in the home.

I pray my panasonic will break down, I really want a Miele and DH says no to a new one till the panasonic breaks down.

Did you do anything to make it break down? tips?

Our vet says it's usually cat dander that people are allergic to, not the fur. You can comb it out with a nit comb (or someone not allergic can), and google for how to deal with it more permanantly - I have a feeling dry food can cause cat dander, but not sure.
