ROUNDWORMS in cat, how easy for humans to get them?

My bastard of a cat has just puked up roundworms indoors. I have wormer but cant use it for another week as I've just used frontline and there has to be a week gap before applying worm stuff.
How likely is it that as a family DCs 5,3 and under 1 we can get them too?
I 'm freaked out by worms of any sort and the thought of these is really hideous. HELP!

as long as the children wash thier hands thoroughly after any contact with the cats (try to avoid them going near the cats rear end) and make sure they dont put thier fingers in thier mouths before washing they should be ok and if the cat uses a litter tray clean it out completely and wash it every day should lessen the chances

thanks Issey, hes an outdoor cat, tho sleeps on my bed, if he gets a chance. Hes banned now! my DD is crawling and puts everything in her mouth so theres no stopping that. but he isnt a petted cat, and uses a field for a litter tray! Fingers crossed.

I'm pretty sure that cats have cat worms, people have people worms etc and they can't live in the wrong animal. Ask a vet.

Humans can't get them properly - they can be infected but they don't get past the larvae stage as far as I remember. Don't panic, use good hygiene in the meantime. Also watch what wormer you're using - 'vet' type ones are better and safer than supermarket brand ones. Check out petmeds online for drontal etc.
