Anyone got any help and advice for the flea infestation my cats have gifted me? I've never had a real flea problem before - couple of doses of frontline and a few sprays of the house and job done (kind of every 2 years), but this time it is going ON and ON and ON and I am covered in bites (never had that before either!) and itching like crazy! We are about 6/7 weeks in of treating with frontline and now advantage, bombs and spray. Arrgh!

A rather disguting update, but the reason why we were still itching was because after the flea infestation, my husband developed scabies. Urgh! Thought I would mention it in case anyone else who'd had fleas was still itching. I've had the odd tiny blister on my hands and ds has just developed a couple too but on the whole we seem to have escaped it (we are still being treated though) and just poor dh who was still covered in what looked like bites!

Bloody hell I threw out all my rugs and changed my sofas because we thought it was still fleas! DH had been to the dr's 3 times before and they'd said it was dermititis! Argh!

Not looking forward to breaking the news to my child minder.....

Eeek!

Thankfully I m pretty sure our current itching problem is fleas.

We did definitely have fleas to begin with, and thats what the dr thinks led to the scabies (although I think diagnosing my husband has been a process of elimination as he has been to the drs 3 times now)

In a weird way I really hope it is scabies because that will mean that the fleas are definitely gone and once we have all been treated tonight, there will eventually be no more itching (although according to wikipedia the itching will take up to 2 weeks to stop. urgh)
