Urgent Help Needed - rehoming my cats (2 sisters)

Hello, I really need some help rehoming my beloved cats. I have 2 sisters who are 12 years old. I have had to make a heartbreaking decision to have them rehomed as my family and I are emigrating to Australia due to my husbands work and unfortunately I am not able to bring them with me.

We are having to move out of our home w/c 28th May, so I really do not have much time to find them a loving home to go to which is quite distressing.

They are both neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and would need to be rehomed together.

Please can anyone help as I have exhausted the option of friends and family being able to help.

Thank you x

ouch you havent left any time all i can suggest is get in touch with local to you rescue centers but if they are anything like Haworth cat rescue where i work theres a six month waiting list, middle of kitten season so moms and kits come first or put notices up in local vets, ask around friends, relatives, neighbours but i dont hold out much hope for you, did you really only get two weeks notice that you were moving, you could try family home and gradens on e bay community forums as there are a fair few cat lovers on there maybe someone can help on there, you go into your e bay account if you have one, then into community then find family home and gardens, you could try an appeal on facebook, dont advertise on gumtree as a lot of the homing offers are people wanting bait for thier fighting dogs, google catcaht.org will bring up rescue sites

where in the Uk are you at the moment?

I agree that you've left it very late. I know our local, small cat rescue will take cats at short notice but it makes it much harder for all involved.
Alternatively, can you put them into a cattery until they can be adopted? It would cost quite a lot I imagine but better than having them PTS.
Ask around at your DC schools? running out of ideas now.

Unfortunately, we've not had much time ourselves to move, plus we've also been let down by someone this week who was going to take them in, hence why I am really concerned now and stressing.

I've tried all the suggestions mentioned and still phoning around places, but I have been told to try and find them a home first to make it less stessful for the girls and then a rescue centre as a last resort.
I'm in chesham, south bucks.
Thank you to you all for advice.

Have you tried posting in your local bit on these boards. Ours is really quiet, but if you go to yours and the adjoining one you may have some luck. FX.

I have found a very lovely and loving home for the girls. Thank you :-)
