We have three indoor cats and i still see fleas. I've tried different treatments and Hoover every other day. Any tips on getting rid of the little fuckers? I have an 11mo DS whose crawling so treatments needs to be child safe.
Many thanks!

Just had new product shown to me by rep that my cats will be wearing Seresato collar 8 months flea killing ( ticks too) very safe collar, amazing new technology. Now my number one choice.

My cats get dragged kicking and howling off to the vet for the Program injection every 6 months.

The Program injection works like birth control for fleas and stops them reproducing. I have indoor/outdoor cats and it really does seem to work well - certainly we've not seen a flea since the cats have been having their twice-yearly injections.

It is a bit more expensive than drops on the neck, but not prohibitively so. I rate it not just because it works, but because I don't have to wrestle with peevish cats who don't want stinky drops on their necks and are willing to fight me about it. With the injections the vet is the one risking his fingers Grin

I don't think every vet does Program, but I found it worth the bother of ringing around for one who did.

Hoovering every other day is good. Are you really getting into all the little nooks and crannies? Along by skirting boards and close in around the edges of furniture? Down behind the sofa cushions? Emptying the hoover immediately after you're done so the fleas don't just hop out and start annoying you all over again?

Have you also got into the habit of regularly hot washing blankets, bath mats, pet bedding etc?

You're probably doing all of the above anyway, but thought I'd mention it just in case.

I hope you get rid of the little fuckers soon.

It's not your cat your home has been infested - you need to treat all surfaces with a spray you can get from the vets

one tip ive heard of for the carpets is sprinkle bicarb of soda all over the carpet overnight, it dries them up i did this at the beginning of the season in march and so far crossed fingers no fleas this year, with frontlining them and hoovering everywhere it seems to have worked its messy and you would have to hoover before baby gets up,

and if you have soft cushions on your sofas take the covers off because one year when i had huge problems and couldnt find out why nothing was working i took the covers off the cushions turned them inside out and literally millions of flea eggs inside them, i think my neighbours thought i had ocd i was hoovering about six times a day

I had this last year, turned out they're immune to Frontline thats why it wasnt working. Id try another product if you're confident you're spraying thoroughly and have done so a couple of times its probably that the product is no longer working. Especially if you've stuck with the same one !
