Question about Indorex spray for anyone who has used it?

I brought in a stray tomcat in Oct and got him neutered, vaccinated etc and frontlined. Vet said to do the frontline monthly. However I stupidly forgot February's dose and because he goes outside a lot, he has brought back dreaded fleas!!!

The only indication was lots of bites on ME!! Took him to the vet who did find fleas on him and gave him Frontline again and also Indorex spray, told me to hoover EVERYWHERE, Spray EVERYWHERE all nooks and crannys up to knee length and places cat sleeps/rests, also empty hoover bag outside and spray it too. Did all that so thoroughly it took 10 hours! Also boil washed everything i could get my hands on.

Question is I'm not sure if you are supposed to hoover lots after the spraying or leave the chemical to settle in? I've heard conflicting advice - some people saying to keep hoovering like mad after spraying, and some saying wait 3 days, others saying wait 2 weeks! I have old wooden floors with big gaps ()-:) so maybe best to keep hoovering to 'bring' the eggs up to be killed by the indorex?

Also, I'm determined to get the better of these fleas as they really love my skin and I take a bad reaction to the bites (the cat didn't seem to mind them though!), how often can you actually use the indorex? I know frontline is once a month, and I'll be sticking to that after it being my fault for forgetting this time, but I'm worried if I have not gotten all the eggs etc and needing to spray again soon, is it safe to do so?

I used indorex once, I hoovered first then sprayed.

Now I just use advocate on the cat and leave it at that. Some fleas are fronine resistant now.

Did you hoover a lot afterwards or were you advised to leave the hoovering for as long as possible afterwards? I have a compulsion to keep hoovering like mad but I'm sure I read somewhere not to hoover to allow the indorex to 'sink in' ? x

I didn't Hoover after because the movement stimulates flea activity, that's what our vets said anyway.

Ok that's great thanks. Will hold off as long as I can! I have the urge to hoover as much as possible to get any eggs which may have been missed into the hoover with the flea collar in it (vet said put flea collar in hoover). But yes, that makes sense. x

Indorex is cheaper in asda pharmacy than our vets.
