My kitten just fell off the window!

Sad She often climbs up on to the window bit where you lock the window to look at the world go by. It's about 4ft 6in off the floor. I always take her down, but when I am out of the room she scrambles back up.

I just walked into the room to see her falling Shock She landed with an almighty thud sort of on her side-ish. She ran away...and I got her and she looked in shock with a bit of her tongue hanging out Sad

It's been half hour now and she seems her self. I gently touched her limbs and back but no squeels of pain.

Shall i take her to the vet? She could have hit her head or something. She's with dd now doing the normal biting and chasing her tail.
She's only little..nearly 3 and a half months.

Anything I should look out for?
Bloody cat will be the death of me.

She's a kitten, falling off things is par for the course. Grin I know it's hours since you posted, but I guess she's fine.

I think she's got a bit of a black eye Sad
Well not a black eye as such as she is a black/tortie...but her eye looks a bit swollen...not bothering her. She's now in the kitchen stalking that damn mouse that I can't get rid of...hence the acquirement of a feline killer ....who falls off windows Hmm

If it makes you feel any better, my kitten took a running jump out of a first storey window when he was 9 weeks old, and he was absolutely fine, beyond a loose tooth and a limp for a few hours. Of course we took him to the emergency vets in a state of panic (half expecting them to seize the kitten and charge us with animal cruelty or something) .... only to be told that it is so common in kittens that they have a name for it: "high rise injuries". Needless to say the upstairs windows haven't been opened since. He's a daft little thing, so I doubt he's learned his lesson.

Last week I caught him trying to scale the living room wall last week. There are no words.

You do get somewhat immune to them falling off windowsills. My 9 year old girl gas a habit of trying to sleep on windowsills, but forgets she's no longer the size of a kitten. We often get disturbed by a thump as she hits the floor.

Aaahhh falling asleep and falling....poor thing.

It was her tongue hanging out of her mouth with shock that scared me Sad

She's fine though...she put years on me she really does

Crazy: I think our kittens are of similar age. We'd only had him about 2 weeks (so about 11 weeks old) when he fell through the bannisters on the upstairs landing all the way to the hallway floor below (not going down the stairs if you see what I mean). I didn't see it but DD did and let out a wail. She came running in to me and was too frightened to go and look at him. We didn't see
if he landed on his feet. When I got downstairs he certainly seemed shocked and a bit forlorn. He let out a little miew when I picked him up. I checked his whole body by gently putting pressure on them and he seemed fine. Within 10 mins it was like it had never happened.

Cats are resilient creatures.
