Your male cat sprays in the house and the first thing you think is 'that smells really concentrated, must get him to drink more' :)

By way of explanation, tigger has always been a sprayer when upset or territorial. He used to do it quite a bit so had got used to the different nuances of the stench but now it's very occasional.

LOL at Oscar.

My boy's really old (17.5) so spends much of his time sleeping, and he moans if the bed isn't made to his satisfaction. He also meows when he wants to be lifted on to the bed, or have pre-sleep cuddles.

Your husband sounds a wonderful cat-slave!

I've added your honeymooon/cat at vets/ husband going for 'hospital' visits to my questionnaire for any dates I might go on.

If they're not prepared to go and hold the patients paw and turn up at the bedside with a large bunch of catnip then there will be no second date Grin

Helping with bed-making, forgot about that, mine don't get the chance very often because I change sheets when they're not around but they're so funny when they do.

Mine both specialise in being nowhere to be seen until im mopping my lounge and kitchen floors - then they both insist on leaving their paw prints in the wetness - they have an inbuilt mopping radar, i swear :)

. . . when you record TV wildlife programmes because you know the cat will enjoy watching them with you.

When your cats are asleep upstairs and won't come down for a cuddle so you watch cat videos on Youtube in order to get a fur fix.

Mine are Siamese brothers...they're terrible. Naughty and bossy and pushy. We love them SO much!

When you sleep on the sofa to avoid waking up the cat who is bed hogging the whole bed!

I also chose my new sofas & colour scheme to match the cat in my sitting room.

Love this thread!

I have a kitten who is so very affectionate but incredibly naughty (can't relax if he's in the room - is a nightmare, but funny with it!) and Cat - she is very haughty, likes me but can take or leave me - at least that's the feeling I get from her Hmm Kitten will be cuddled and kissed all day long, Cat - don't even think about picking her up and only stroke her when she is eating (?) or you are lying in bed, it's between the hours of 3am-5am OR she's come in from the rain.

To accommodate Cat, I pretend to not realise she is upstairs (Kitten sleeps in kitchen, dog in living room) and then act all surprised to find her asleep on my shoulder early hours. I also don't get cross at 4am when she decides to pummel my face and purr loudly and want attention!

Every now and then I allow Cat and Dog to sleep with me, we manage ok - not too many twisted limbs on my part. The other night I had DD, Cat and Dog - Iended up with half a pillow, a sliver of duvet and clinging to the end of the bed. Did I wake any of them? No, I got into DD's bed and let them sleep soundly!

Once Kitten gets over his destructive phase, he'll be up there too!

God help any man that comes into my life Grin

You watch Simon's Cat & realise it's a documentary & not a hilarious cartoon.

when you feed the cat before you feed your child.
when you do controlled crying to teach DS to sleep, but let the cat wake you up in the small hours for feeding.
when you let her lick food off baby's face (sooo cute and baby likes it).

Oh my, yes - I do this!!!! Blush Well, not CC but I spend hours sometimes trying to get DD to go to sleep (she's 8yo so not a baby) yet Cat is allowed to pummel my face early hours with no repercussions!! Hmm

:) Rhonda - sounds like you got my haughty cats twin there :)

Mind you, the other night when it was really stormy she climbed onto my chest and slept there all night purring loudly Shock this from the cat who hasn't sat on my lap since she was a kitten.

Needless to say I stayed pinned to the bed unable to pull the duvet over my freezing arms like a good human cat bed Grin

ha ha!! Yes, any affection from her and I freeze and try not to breathe too much in case she decides to go!
