Urgent Help! Something is wrong with my cat

Please can does anyone have any advice on how to deal with this.

My cat came in with a cut on her neck about a week and a half ago. It was very swollen and gooey. I cleaned it up and sprayed it with pet anticeptic from the chemist. The next day it looked like it was starting to heal. The following day she had a massive bald patch where she was sprayed. I haven't see her since.

I was a bit worried, but as her food was gone every morning, I thought she was fine. Just a bit annoyed at whichever neighbour was keeping her.

I've just spotted her for the first time in a week. She's been sleeping rough under the neighbours house. She looks dreadful, thin and matted, like a stray. (Dunno who's been eating the food). I've spent ages trying to catch her and I can't. She won't come to me, but she's crying at me.

What shall I do? How do I catch her?

Husband managed to catch her last night. (PM me if you wish to hire an experience cat-catcher Wink)

She's been to the vet and he says she fine. Looks like it burst during the night, she's very gooey, and her temperature has gone. She just has to keep taking the penicillin.

She currently contained in the non-hiding hole containing living room. She pulled down the curtains and is kicking off big time at her imprisonment. Shouting at the terriers through the door and winding them up to frantic head explosion levels. HmmShe's better.

She's so much better now. I did worry that I was fussing about nothing, but now she better, I can really see the difference. Her fur is looking all shiney and fluffy, so she grooming herself again. I've released her back into the attic and she's currently sat up on top of the rafters waiting for an unsuspecting human to pass so she can leap on them.

That is good news.So glad she is better.I quite fancy a Norwegian forest cat, once we move to a place far enough away from roads. What are they like? I also have a terrier,so I'm guessing they are good with dogs?

We have to keep terriers and cats segregated, but that's more to do with the terriers than the cat. I don't know how much of her behaviour is her and how much her breed, but she's a funny little thing. Inside she's a pet, all over you. Outside, she goes feral, you can't touch her. Her claws are like razor blades and she is a tree climber. Not like other cats, more like a squirrel. She sleeps in the top of the apple tree.

That is so sweet! I remember googling them when I was pregnant with dd1 and Dh and I cooing over the pictures. They are beautiful looking cats aren't they? My last terrier thought he was a cat.I lived on a boat and he would try and copy the cats, attempt to turn around on the gunwhales and then fall in.I had to get in the rowing boat and pull him out. My current terrier loves cats if he gets to play with them, but he does chase them if he finds a scared one. We have moved to a village where there is little traffic at night, but the cars that do come through can be fast, and so the road we are on is very dangerous for a cat.Our next-door neighbours cat was killed on the road last Summer and it was so awful , it hammered home that we really can't have another cat until we move.
