Bringing a cat home from Dubai

What the thread title says, really!

It seems this could cost £4k

My friend needs to move back to the UK and is quite distraught at the prospect of leaving him :(

Is there another way? Or does anyone know of anyone in Dubai who could give him a loving home?

I am guessing that the major cost is the flight? I have had a client get a quote for flight to Singapore for the cat which was £3500 last week.

We brought 2 cats back from Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) a couple of years back. I seem to remember that cost about £2000 (which was also an awful lot of money, but we couldn't leave them). They didn't have to go into quaranteen so maybe that's the difference in cost? Your friend should shop around to see if there is a better rate!

My friend is planning to bring her cat from UAE and I don't think it's going to cost her anything like that...is it possible that your friend is being forced to pay for a seat for the cat?

I think the quaratine makes up a fair chunk of the cost.

Yes, i don't think my mate has to pay quarantine, she has a pet passport and certificates. What a pain. If she gets stuck pm me, my friend knows people in Dubai who might be able to rehome...

Quick update - the lovely cat has been rehomed and my lovely friend is back in the UK :)
