Cat went out early this morning 6am (he stays in at night as he's still very young), usually he will stay in back garden or just stay out for 5 minutes. I forgot he was out as i was looking after a poorly dd1, took dd2 to school and spotted the cat near the main road so text dh to get him in, dh had'nt got the text so when i got home there was no sign of the cat. He's now been missing sinse 8.20 (when i saw him last), i have walked up and down the road shouting, checked an outbuilding across the road and checked the garden and no sign Sad.

Hopfully he's just lying in the sun somewhere.

How long do you leave it before you panick?

So pleased for you Marne.

Some random woman approached me in Tesco's recently - turns out she lives up the road and wondered if it was my cat that comes round to her house every day at 11 am, barges in through cat flap and scoffs all her cats' food. Er....it might be Blush

I hate my cats going missing.

My little cat went missing for 8 hours once and I freaked out, she knows my voice and goes walks with me and dog.

I went looking for her shouting her name at 2am in the morning, because I was worried sick, as she's a terror and loves her food, So i knew she would be home for her grub.

So off I went shouting and she'd been locked in the neighbours garage, heard her miow, chapped my neighbours door and she thought I was mental but I made her check anyway and sure enough there she was, my poor baby!

Hate when she goes missing get horribly worried

Hello all...

Very pleased that OP's cat came back. It's reassuring me at the moment as mine has done a runner this afternoon. :s

She's only 15 months old, and we have had her for about 6 months. She's never been outside 'unsupervised' and today decided to do a giant leap out of the 1st floor bedroom window, slide down the bay window roof and bounce off down our road before DP or I could catch her.

That was at 5pm today and despite lots of frantic calling and shaking the biscuit box she is still not home :(

I have to go out to my uni course 10-6pm tomorrow and DP is at work all day, so I'm so worried that she won't come back.

I have a six month old kitten who I supervise in the garden but she’s big enough now to be let out and she has wandered into other gardens etc which worried me. My sister suggested getting a gps tag on her collar so you can track them on your phone. Worth a try when your furry friend comes back
