I'm like a nervous parent waiting, I sleep with the Mum and look for all the signs! Blush She's huge bless her and only young so don't want her to be alone, my last one had a couple breech and needed help, it was very scary! Wish she'd hurry up so I could stop worrying :(

in case anyone comes to this she seems ok im just trying to be prepared in case. dh is a lot calmer than me so im tempted to go to sleep and leave them to it!

one black noisy furry bundle shouting for food! she decided to leave my carpets and sofa alone in favour of my bed :)

Deafworm · 12/02/2011 02:13

Congrats deaf worm one of ours was only a year old with her first litter and she was a fab mummy so I am sure your girl will be the same. Our cat is still waiting to have hers but have been with puppies24/7 so just as well and a mad or brave choice of carpets with 3 little ones. My children when little were probably messier than the dogs!!!!!! I would of needed therapy And bloody ikea stopping sofa have you looked on eBay for covers we have just got new cover from there as I am not brave enough to try making. Please update on kitties when you have time

Deafworm · 12/02/2011 09:54

Thank you, theyre doing pretty well and she seems settled, the girls are fascinated this morning :o have put a pic on my profile. oh believe me if i had any choice in flooring cream carpets wouldnt be it! I have looked on ebay but ones for my sofa dont come up often and when they do theyre usually white and extortionate, im pretty good with a machine so reckon i can manage it and can do it in colours i we really like!

first one was stillborn then 2 more live births who are doing well and may already have homes, a friend i trust and a friend of hers whose cat was run over. I would much rather they went to people i know or at least recommendations than have to advertise them and have no way of knowing so im quite happy for that

pugly · 12/02/2011 12:00

Glad there are homes lined up, shame they can't go together as being a litter of just 2 they are going to be so close. Are you going to get the vet to spay her later - seems silly that they wouldn't before when the actual pregnancy would be more risky :( I love the way the mums snuggle up with the kits, the sister of my pg one is brilliant with her 4 - 3 are massive and there's one little runty one Grin Will get some pics later.

its looking like dd1 has convinced dh to keep them both, im not convinced yet but we will see! how is yours doing?

pugly · 19/02/2011 16:28

Ha Ha - soft touch! Grin Mine had her first at 4am Tuesday then stopped, took her for a check at 12 and they kept her in (first kitten stayed here with auntie & other kits) gave her oxytocin and she had another 2 over 12 hours, next day they gave her a section and the last one was dead :(

She's doing great now and the kittens are feeding well - I'll get some pics up soon :)
