He's 13, but I've only just figured out what he is actualy saying when he walks off in discust.

It's "For fucks sake"

Should I tell him of, or is he too old for that?

That is kind of adorable. My cat often tells me off. We must remember that we are merely their servants.

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 05/11/2010 22:31

Teenagers, eh? [rolleyes] Grin

edam · 05/11/2010 22:33

My cat could have written a similar post about me: "I've just worked out what my owner is saying when the clumsy oaf trips over me as I race down the stairs."

Hassled · 05/11/2010 22:34

My cats say "why the fuck haven't you fed me?" followed by "FFS it's been a whole hour since you last fed me". Clear as a bell.

SecretNutellaFix · 05/11/2010 22:35

I can usually work out

"Mum, I'm starving. I'll waste away here. You're late feeding me"

They're nearly 8 by the way!Smile

I don't think you understand. My cat is actually talking. He says three joined up meows, which are infact, FFS.

And like I said, teenagers, eh? Grin

Wait till he starts hanging out down the park, underage drinking...

And growing his own catnip in his wardrobe.

Is it anything like the way mine shouts at me if I'm late home - kind of escalating: MEOW! MEOW!! MEOW!!!

Have always read this as 'what time do you call THIS?! I am STARVING and was just about to call the RSPCA and have you reported for causing suffering to a poor innocent moggy'. But your version may be more accurate

kickarsequeensbonfireburnup · 05/11/2010 23:06

Grin lynette, I get you! Thats amazing!

DontCallMeBaby · 05/11/2010 23:07

One of ours chased us up the road to the fireworks this evening, then sat under a car demanding to know where the hell we thought we were going, as we disappeared off round the corner (out of his territory, I think).

He and his brother are 16 months old, which I calculate approximates to 18 human years, so I expect them to become more civilised shortly. I hope they don't leave home though.
