Waterproofing treatments for unwaterproofed waterproofs

I went for a 4 hour walk yesterday in less than ideal weather conditions and it's safe to say my waterproofs are no longer waterproof!

Any recommendations for a treatment to bring them back to life? I'm reluctant to purchase new just yet as I have some significant hikes planned next year that I'll need new kit for and hope to be a couple of sizes smaller by then and don't fancy buying twice.

Looking to treat my coat, trousers and bag.

Thank you 😊

Let me know if you find anything that actually works. None of the reproofing ones I've used have lasted/made any difference!

Nikwax

Another vote for Nikwax.

Even without reproofing, you do occasionally need to wash your jacket and put it in the dryer/iron it to reactivate!

Nikwax
it will stink but then you will be dry

For Durable Water Repellent coating, I find that Graingers is better than Nikwax since the formula changed to more environmentally friendly.
I also find that the wash is OK for both, but the Graingers spray on afterwards really does bead water up again better than anything.
That said, if your waterproofs are a few years old and starting to wet out, DWR is just a sticking plaster on old waterproofs in heavy rain.
Best thing for a bag is a waterproof cover and everything in a bin bag inside.
