You mean all in one go? No, but I'm curious so will bump it for you.
(DD did all 3 over the course of two weekends when she was 6 but I don't think that quite counts Grin)

Yes - done it several times and have led groups round it.

I like starting at ribblehead best so do them in this order - whernside, ingleborough and pen y Ghent. It means you have 2 peaks done by lunchtime. That leaves the long bog trot until the end but I think there's new path since I last did it. It also means you can miss this last bit if weather is really bad. Train goes from Horton to ribblehead.

The more usual way is pen y Ghent, whernside and ingleborough.

When are you planning to do it?

Not sure what my tips for success are ( other than the order!).

Do it in spring - cooler weather but longer daylight.
Slow and steady pace.
Go with someone who knows the way so less time needed to navigate

My fastest time was about 10 hours. Slowest just over 12. Mostly aroun 11 hours. All of these with groups of teenagers who don't usually do this type of thing and with varying levels of fitness.

If I was doing it I'd want to know how much food/water to carry and whether there are places to resupply esp the water (having once done Inglebrough on a hot day)

Done it once and would advise lots of appropriate training before hand. Steady pace is a must though i sometimes find jogging the downhills is easier than walking.

I'm a very fit cyclist but that uses a whole lot of different muscles so my legs were absolutely knackered afterwards but they recovered quickly.

We have taken our DC up all of them individually and if they wanted to do them in one day, i'd probably go along too. DH has said he won't but then again he would have given up after the first two if i hadn't been there.

Are you doing it as part of a large charity group? If not it might be worth checking out when these events are taking part as when we were on Whernside last there must have been 1000+ people on a 3 Peaks walk. It made the path very busy!

There isn't anywhere where I would recommend filling up with water but there are pubs at ribblehead, between ingleborough and whernside (the hill inn) and a cafe at Horton. All are en route. I've certainly used 2 of them for refreshments on the way round. My friends did the 3 peaks at new year and had a fry up on the way round in the cafe.

Food - probably need quite a bit. Factor in 2 lunches and plenty of snacks.

am planning on june (I know it will be a bit busy then, but cant fit another time)

just me and dp - last challenge walk was the Lyke Wake Walk , started with 7 people, four eventually dropped out during the walk, but slowed us down in the process, we were aiming for 16-17 hours, finished it in 21 in the end.

we're aiming for 9.5 hours, according to our training plan that should be doable, and we should still enjoy it! (according to country walking magazine Grin )

hoping to raise around £300-400

we have climbed all 3 peaks a couple of times, (but only one per day!)

'steady pace is a must', to be honest, can only go at a steady pace. Mostly concerned about 'the boggy bit', but understand it may be ok these days.
