Saying goodbye to the Doghouse

BiteyDog became very ill a few days ago and quickly deteriorated so much that we had to let him go.

We were an active member many years ago when he came crashing into our life’s as a bitey puppy. Through many emergencies and illnesses we got him through them but not this time and we just knew it was time.

The vets were compassionate and lovely and we will be collecting his ashes and prints in about a week.

Haven’t been on here much in the past few years but maybe the oldies might remember him. As there will only be one BiteyDog I think I will be saying goodbye to this forum forever 😢

Sorry for your loss Flowers. I still lurk here and occasionally post - it's more than six years since my dear little doggie left us. Rarely a day goes by when my husband and I don't speak of him. It will get easier and you will be able to remember the good times with pleasure.

Our circumstances are no longer ideal for a dog - caring for terminally ill relative - so I now enjoy dogs vicariously, both here and in real life. A lovely little dog started licking my knees on that train last week - brought back wonderful memories!
