Lab still pooing inside at night

My lovely lab (13 months old) is fab in nearly every way EXCEPT she still poos on our kitchen floor in the middle of the night! Not every night, we can have a run of three or four good mornings and then we'll come down to a turd. Very normal, healthy looking turd - it's not a tummy upset. She is wormed monthly so not worms.

She has her big meal of the day in the morning, and then gets 5 dog biscuits after her afternoon walk (normally around 4.30pm) and another 5 right before bed at approx 10.30pm. We let her out before bed, and have started taking her out properly into the field behind our house (where she likes to poo on walks) then so she has every opportunity to go!

She moved to adult kibble around a month ago, but it still has some puppy kibble mixed in whilst we use up the remains of that bag - ratio probably 2/3 adult to 1/3 puppy. We weigh out her food each time so she's getting the right amount for her age. Adult kibble is same brand as the puppy one.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Why does she only get one meal a day? Other than the serious risk of bloat (which labs are prone to) and the fact that labs are a high energy breed that need nutrient/energy throughout the day, that's almost certainly why you're having toilet issues.

Honestly, I'd switch to two meals a day - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. It might not fix the poo issue, but it'll be far better and safer for your dogs health in the long-run. But feeding once a day has been linked to digestive issues which can cause, amongst other things, excessive pooing and reflux.

I’d switch to a meal in the morning and another at 5. Then nothing else.

That is an odd feeding routine, mine are fed at 8am and 5/6pm, never any issues with indoor poos.
She’d be better with a meal
than biscuits.

My lab also has two meals a day - breakfast at 8 and dinner about 5pm - seems to be a good meal routine. She has a daytime walk, then an after-dinner walk later in the evening, and we walk until she poos - that seems to stop any night-time accidents.

I agree with 2 meals a day, mine are fed about 7am and again at 6pm. No treats in between unless we're training. 1 year old lab and German Shepherd and never any accidents inside. They are let out in a secure back garden whenever they ask, and also last thing at night before we go to bed.

I think in your scenario it Is the evening biscuits I would try to change first - swap for a small piece of cheese and see if that helps.

But however, our lab does nothing but get fat and hungry on kibble type diets or biscuits or any similar. We cook mince and vegetables for her beef or lamb. She has Salmon skin if we’re having Salmon and she has a little piece of cheese or boiled egg for treats, she’s doing weight wise very well and she is now 10 . A real bonus of this diet which doesn’t have carbs as part of her meals mostly though she will occasionally get a bit of rice or pasta with them if we’ve got some leftovers means there isn’t a great deal of poo going on and appetite is less voracious.
Mine has meals (never biscuit type) at 7 am and 5 pm, morning and evening walk and a piece of cheese or ham(facilitates meds) after evening walk

My dog poos inside of he eats after 6pm. He gets breakfast and a teatime meal at 5ish and that works well.

He also has an evening walk around 8pm and we keep walking until he’s done a poo 🙈😂
