Buffalo Ears

My dog loves hairy buffalo ears. The ones I've bought in the past have been really chewy and lasted her several days. The last few I've bought have been really crunchy and she's eaten the whole thing in about five minutes.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good supplier of chewy buffalo ears please? Or is there something I can do (soaking?) that makes the crunchy ones chewier?

Are you sure there's actually a difference?

Often I give mine some sort of natural chew for the first time, think it's amazing as it lasts for ages, give another and then find they're gone in minutes! Sometimes they're from the same pack so not likely to be massively different.

We are using Yak milk chews, last ages, we give it to our pup for 20 mins at a time for last few days and it’s still going.

There is definitely a difference. It's almost like the latest ones have been completely dried out versus the earlier ones retaining some moisture. The earlier ones flexed a little if bent whereas the latest ones have just cracked in two. That's why I thought that soaking might help a little.

For a small ten-year old dog, she can really chew and even things sold as long lasting take her about 5 mins to completely devour. Fortunately she only chews treats because otherwise I'd have no furniture left.

She's not a fan of yak chews - she licks it occasionally but then ignores it. It's a shame because they sound like she'd enjoy chewing them if she gave them a chance.

Don't bother with yak milk chews (or antlers), you might as well give them a stone to chew on. Go for something VOHC approved.
