Switching from raw food, recommendations?

I have an 8.5 yo cockapoo who has always been a mix of starving and fussy. He hated kibble so I put him on a raw diet when he was smaller. At the time it was touted as miracle food for dogs but I am not sure its reputation is the same. Anyway, started him on a new brand before xmas and it has some visible white bits, I assume cartilage/bone, and he has had a couple of incidents of vomiting up undigested food the next morning so I am worried about it slowing down his digestion.

I think the time is right to move away from raw completely now, but what to? Happy to try mail order brands if they work best. Anyone have any recommendations? He loves food but has always had indigestion type symptoms (burping, lip licking) so want to steer clear of anything that would make it worse

I haven't updated in a while, but ended up getting a fresh food delivery for him too - from Different Dog. His digestion is much better, still anal glands issue but like your dog @m4ttb it seems to be a structural thing. But overall I am really glad I switched from raw. I do put a freeze dried raw pellet thing on his food as a topper, because the fresh stuff is ££, but he seems to tolerate it all well.

nice to hear you’ve found a solution that is working for you. We put a broccoli topper on ours to help bulk it out, but that feels like we are forever microwaving broccoli 😂

My dog would isolate that broccoli and have nothing to do with it (or any other greenery)!

How about mixing wet food with kibble?

Ours love for example half a tray of Butchers mixed with high quality kibble at breakfast and supper (they eat twice a day).

Then snacks include raw veg we are eating ourselves and dog treats.
