Body cam?

After a horrible experience yesterday I’m considering wearing a body cam when I walk my dogs. Would need to be waterproof I guess. Needs to be a decent resolution so I could prove what happened if necessary.
Anyone use anything like that??
PS if your dog hates big dogs and has no recall please keep it away from mine. 🤬

Go Pro?

Wolfiefan · 11/01/2026 20:56

Aren’t they really expensive?

No idea, but surely emergency vet is more expensive 🤔

Is whatever happened a freak one off or something that occurs on the majority of walks?

Just wondering because walking with your dog in nature should be a de stressing, decompressing, enjoyable experience... and am conscious preparing a body cam before every walk would feel more like going into a police raid than a dog walk and therefore ruin the benefits you get 😞

What happened? Is owner of the dog who ran up to yours demanding vet bill payment or something?

It’s a dog that charges at mine barking and growling. Thankfully we only encounter it sometimes. But this is a place where you pay to enter. The manager has said they would revoke membership if a dog was repeatedly not under control. I’ve spent years ignoring this dog and months asking the owners to get it under control.

I’ve considered similar after having two horrible experiences whilst on dog walks in quick succession! B and M do a small camera very similar to a go pro for about £20 and then you have to buy an SD card to go in it, however I have held off and currently only take my dog to secure fields or parks where all dogs have to be on a lead until I get a bit braver

Wolfiefan · 11/01/2026 22:31

I can and do use secure fields. But I don’t want to restrict my dogs to being on lead as this one owner can’t control their dog.
