Dog regression after moving

Hi all,
new to here and looking for any helpful tips.
we have a 6 month old mini dachshund that I spent a lot of time training, we had mostly sussed potty training etc.
we moved house 2 weeks ago and he has totally regressed, and won’t go potty outside at all. Now he has started weeing on furniture which he has never done even at 8 weeks old. I’m tearing my hair out. I work from home and take him out to his puppy pad nearly every half hour and offer treats on the occasion that he uses it but it’s just getting worse.

any advice? I’m overwhelmed.

Sounds like your pup is overwhelmed too. If you knew you were moving timing probably wasn’t the best but you are where you are.
If you’ve ruled out any urinary tract infections it is likely to be stress, anxiety or scent marking.
Having just settled it will have been quite an unsettling experience for a young dog. Obviously stressful for you and the pup will have picked up on this.
If back to basics doesn’t work you may need professional advice. We have access to video advice from a Vet 24/7 as part of our pet insurance.
Did the previous owners/ tenants have dogs?
Good luck.

I’m not sure if the previous owners had dogs.
The house had been on the market for 18 months and a previous sale had fallen through so we weren’t aware that we would be moving and certainly not so quickly.
It’s definitely not UTI; he doesn’t seem stressed and eats and sleeps well.
maybe it is scent marking?
I think I might have to go the professional route.

Hope you sort it soon. We downsized in July and our two did lots of deep sniffing and tracking at first. Vendors had an old dog.
No regression though but both adults. They settled really well. House is much smaller but outdoor area probably better for them.
Our youngest dog did wee on our daughter’s bed when she left (after she moved back home whilst waiting to move!) We saw that as a protest. Never done anything like that before.
Hope you are enjoying your new home apart from the issues. Have you got throws on the furniture? Pup pads underneath? Might settle soon.

Good idea on the throws on furniture I think I was hoping it was a one off .. but it seems ongoing.
We had a storm porch at our old house that was enclosed with the grass puppy pad and he liked it… he hates bad weather. I might look at different shelter options such as a gazebo to see if that helps.
thanks
