my son has an 18 months old dachshund, he went to the vets to have some of his baby teeth out , the managed to take two out and the dog stopped breathing, he had to be resuscitated. but unfortunately it can't move it's legs can only blink it's eyes my grandchildren are absolutely devastated. not sure if he's gonna make it. anybody else had something the same and did you get a good outcome.hes going to another vets Monday to see if his lack of oxygen has affected his legs. they lost another dog two years ago as it had something wrong with it's liver and kidneys that was only 18 months old too, I told my son to get back to the breeder to ask if any other of the dogs have had any problems going under for an operation.

Sorry no one has replied. I'd have thought they could take the teeth out under mild sedation as they do that with people and horses all the time.
