I know a dog called Del. It's one of the Welsh words for 'pretty' and, to be fair, she is a lovely-looking girl!

One-syllable names are very handy for shouting across parks, and if you go for something more unusual, only your dog will come running, rather than another three who all share the same name! Enjoy your little bundle of fluff 😊

I was so tempted by this. FIL's called Dave, the BIL's called Dave, DP's best mate's called Dave, MIL's next door neighbour's called Dave.

DP said absolutely not because it would sound like a bunch of seagulls at family events, especially when all the heads popped up at once.

I'm still not convinced that wouldn't be endlessly entertaining.
