We're picking up our Jack Russell puppy soon - white and tan boy. Struggling with coming to a decision about names, we just can't agree....suggestions so far are Bill/Billy, Gus, Wilf, Dave, Pip....what do you think or what do you suggest?

I've never had a dog with a single syllable name. I always associate that with working collies.
Two syllable names seem easier to call out, and sound less harsh.
Appreciate this is marmite, but I like Jonty for a little dog. Not that I've ever used the name.

I like Gus.

Other suggestions-
Blaze
Wilf
Frank
Jay
Cody
Finn

I always like Jasper for a JRT. Seems to suit their personality.

Monty. Montgomery when he’s been naughty. 😆

Totally agree! A two syllable name is always better and much easier for a dog to learn.
Years ago a friend had two little males.
One was called Russell, the other was Jacko 😅

Um... 'Oiyoulittleshit'?

We had a JRT for 15 years - wonderful dog, but very much had her own agenda.

Boss!

Or (listening to Wimbledon) "Deuce" - it actually has an archaic meaning of mischief , not just tennis related!
