Ok, my new Yorkie pup is arriving to my house in 3 weeks and I'm in 'getting ready' mode!
I'm thinking Bella as her name– I know it's super popular but it just really suits her. I may go with Tinkerbelle as her long name :)
In case you can't tell, I'm incredibly excited as it's been a few years since we've had a dog in the home.
Anyway, point of the post: can anyone recommend a good 'new puppy' book? I love a book and find it helps me feel prepared. My friend suggested Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy, and I've read that last week. I liked the pictures and ease of reading, but it's very training heavy.
I'm looking for something that also covers things like socialising, preventing behavioural problems (our last dog had a horrible fireworks phobia and I want to do everything to avoid this), the right food (I keep reading about raw but don't think it's for me), what to do if they get diarrhoea, which supplements are good, how to trim their nails (last dog would not entertain this and it was always a groomers jobby).... I can probably think of 100 more things...!
Basically a puppy bible??
I've not really been able to find this, so hoping someone knows of one, or something close. TIA
