Itching dog

My dog is itching under her gums and around her nose. It is really difficult for her. We tried to keep all dust out the house, but that is very difficult, changed washing detergent, stopped giving treats. She currently eats Raw Beef Naked Dog Superfood. She was sick on chicken and turkey. We have been suggested to do dry food? Not sure what to buy... any recommendations would be great. Thank you

Our poor old dog was chewing her paws off with itching until we switched her to a dry hypoallergenic food. There are a few to choose from, and might depend on size/breed, but she went from open sores and having inconclusive biopsies at the vets, to being itch free in a really short space of time with the hypoallergenic complete dry food & treats. She never had human food ever so that wasn’t an issue to suddenly have to avoid.

Has she ever actually had any allergy tests? I would start there.

Thanks, Which hypoallergenic dry food did you go for? They seem to have a lot of other ingredients in.
She is currently having raw food which has this in, of which some she could be sensitive to

Beef (50%)
Beef Tripe (15%)
Beef Heart (10%)
Beef Bone (5%)
Beef Trachea (5%)
Beef Liver (2.5%)
Beef Kidney (2.5%)
Butternut Squash
Green Vegetables
Blueberry
Salmon Oil
Kelp
Turmeric
Ginger
Spirulina
Ground Black Pepper
Wheatgrass

We’re raising a guide dog puppy and they are all put on Royal Canin dry puppy food - our Lab has a lovely glossy coat on that and so do all the other guide dog puppies we train with.

I believe they also offer a hypoallergenic dried dog food you could try.

There are three petfood brands that offer REAL hypoallergenic food (this means, among other things, that the proteins are hydrolised and each charge is tested for cross contamination). It's Hill's, Royal Canin (they offer hypoallergenic and anallergenic, which goes a step further) and Purina.
Have you had her tested for environmental allergies? There is no way to reliably test for food allergies, but the blood tests are very good for spotting environmental sensitivities. If those are all negative, then it's probably a food allergy, but they usually also come with digestive issues, not just itching.
