Drying coat

Hi, just wondered what kind of drying coats everyone uses?

We have a double coated swamp monster of a dog, who gets washed clean after walks, but she doesn't like the hairdryer. Hence we poo a drying coat on to help her dry and prevent wet dog aroma spreading.....

We have a towelling ruff and tumble one, which is pretty good, but I've seen you can use equafleece as a drying coat. Does anyone to this? Would you recommend? I was thinking it might cover more of her body, legs etc

Thanks for any thoughts!

I've got an equafleece that I put on my spaniel if she's particularly filthy and wet and we need to drive home from a walk for more than 20 minutes or so, and it's excellent. At the weekend after a 45 minute drive in it she was 90pc dry having been swimming on the walk. I bought it specifically as a drying coat rather than for walking her in as she'd be far too hot in it out and about. Their customer service is brilliant – I couldn't work out what size I needed but gave them a ring and they sorted it instantly. We also have a drying coat (R&T dupe) and I use that most days and for shorter car journeys home/after a bath as it's much easier to put on.

This is what I have for my border collie, it’s X-LARGE but really should have gone XXL as it doesn’t cover all his back, but it’s really good, only needs to be on 10 minutes after rain or a bath and he’s virtually dry.

I had an equifleece but I think it was too hot for my lab; plus getting him into it was a challenge ( old, arthritic) . I ended up putting a zip into the back.

I didn’t find equifleece particularly easy to engage on sizing.

we have Ruff and tumble coats and also dog robes, and I just towel dry their feet and legs.

Thanks all, hmmm food for thought.....I hadn't considered that it web hard work to get an equafleece on!
I think maybe our Ruff and Tumble drying coat is a little too small, maybe a bigger one would help.

I don't find equafleece very good for drying, ruff and tumble or similar work much better for my labs

I put our equafleece on before a walk at this muddy time of year and ddog is not too hot, it literally keeps all the mud off her except her paws so she doesn't have to be washed after . Just brilliant things . I don't mind putting it on as it's an easy technique you get used to. We also use a ruff and tumble classic robe when she's had a swim in summer or a bath and it dries her amazingly fast and stops her getting shivery.

I haven't found Equafleece very good for drying. Ruff and Tumble are brilliant though. I have a Lab and a springer.

Ruff and Tumble. I have a big hairy GSD. Best 50 odd quid I’ve ever spent. I stick it on after wet walks and she’s bone dry in 20 minutes.

We have a couple of dogrobes and also the drying mitts. We Canicross so are frequently covered in mud. Chuck it on after a run or hose down and it works s treat. Contains the wet and shaking and has a tie rather than velcro which I prefer.
