Muck boots for v wide feet

Hello!
sorry if this is off topic but I'm looking for a pair of Chelsea boot type muck boots/ wellies for dog walking. No laces, just some I can pull on quickly. There seem to be a billion different brands on the market, none of which are cheap, but happy to pay for decent quality.

Can anyone recommend a brand that caters for big wide feet?

Thanks!

I wear Joules! I can fit my massive feet in them with welly socks and haven’t needed to go up a size either

Thanks, ive had a look but Joules don't come in my size unfortunately 😒

I've got Muck Boots (brand) short wellies, as my neoprene Muck Boots were too hot in the summer 😂

I've got size 9 feet (big feet for a chick!) but MuckBoots are unisex

I paid about £100, but they'll prob be cheaper now, as it is proper wellie season 🙂

I have a pair of Muck Boots at normal wellie height. They are wide and comfortable and come in various heights as PP said. I used to think they looked like nothing on earth but now I am a complete convert.

I got mine on reduced at an agricultural suppliers back in the summer, so definitely look for deals.

Can't stand muck boots, soles are crap for grip. I think footwear is one thing you really have to try on for comfort. I have a pair of gortex walking boots which I just slip on and off. I tighten the laces if I'm on very uneven territory, otherwise I leave the laces very loose so I can just slip my feet in and out (have wide feet due to bunions). I did have a pair of aigle ankle boots, but again I didn't find the soles great for traction (better than my muck boots though).

I bought these Woof Wear boots about three years ago and they've been fantastic: https://www.woofwear.com/short-yard-boot-adult-2

I also have quite wide feet but because they're velcro they're a bit more adjustable. The grip is really good - I've walked the dog through fields and along country lanes, and they're one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own. Still seem to have loads of life left in them.

Short Yard Boot Adult

The next generation of Woof Wear@s popular Short Yard boot is perfect for wearing around the yard. The fleece lining keeps toes toasty, the self-tightening Hook @ Loop closure ensures as secure fit, and the engineered galosh is flexible and surprisingly...

I bought a pair of Chelsea style wellies off Amazon, they were £20 are wide enough for my fat feet and comfortable for long walks. The brand is Dream Pairs and they’re excellent.

Thanks everyone, really helpful advice.

I was going to splurge on Muck boots but then found some Chelsea style Fitflop wellies which were half price in my size (one advantage of massive feet, I suppose!) . Hopefully they're as comfy as the reviews made out.

@BikingBadger I was going to suggest fitflop - I have some and love them. My only criticism is that I find them hard to get on.

dustydrawers · 13/11/2024 11:43

Would fitflops work? I have the longer version and they are very comfy
