Fleas - Clear Plus and Prinovox?

Think I probably know the answer already, but if I treat DDog with Clear Plus (Bob Martin) tonight, and then get her usual Prinovox on Monday from the vets, can I use the Prinovox or do I have to wait four weeks? Just want to treat her quickly.

She is regularly treated with Prinovox but was at the end of her four week period so guess it was less effective?

They don’t have any of the same active ingredients so shouldn’t interact with each other (although I usually stagger spot on treatments by a few days as they shouldn’t be mixed together).

Thank you

Thank you. Will try and see a vet for primo box in the morning, and if unsuccessful will opt for clear plus.

Spot on treatments are really bad for the environment, if your dog is ever in watercourses like rivers, lakes, etc :(

She hates water! Avoids it like the plague and was horrified about being bathed this evening when we noticed her scratching.

i am interested in any environmentally friendly and effective treatments though so please do share.

The tablet ones like Bravecto, Simparica Trio etc should have less environmental impact. The ingredients in the spot ons you mentioned (fipronil and imidocloprid) are of concern for invertebrates (more info here https://www.vmdconnect.uk/the-environment). Your vet will need to see your pet to change their prescription flea treatment (under the VMD regulations that came in at the end of last year.)
