I'm so worried about my dog. He has suffered with allergies of and on his whole life (he's 11 next month), he often has an upset belly. We moved county 4 years ago and things were better (he still often had a wobbly belly but he is a bit of a dustbin), he was eating butternut and wolfworthy.
9 weeks ago he had a seizure, 6 weeks later another, he then had an ear infection and an eye infection. At this point the ver put him on an anti allergy diet) he'd given him bloods which were inconclusive, he thought maybe the seizures were allegy related, he then swallowed something and had to have a steroid and a painkiller, the course finished and then on Saturday (nearly 4 weeks later) he had another seizure.
I'm so bl88dy worried about him, i just want them to find out what's wrong and make him better. He is my absolute world, he has helped me through so much life rubbish and i'm about to divorce and move and i want him with me. I only lost my other dog 4 weeks ago, i'm not ready to lose him too.

Has epilepsy been discussed? My dog has epilepsy and is medicated and reasonably well controlled.

Sorry to say your vet is silly if they think allergies can cause seizures. My girl was 2 when she had her first seizure and she lived for 4 and a half years after. Her epilepsy was uncontrollable at that point. Having more than 1 seizure per month I would be looking into anti epileptic medication

No, can that come on late in life?
